Shatrughan Sinha's daughter made a totally rocking Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in 2010's biggest blockbuster 'Dabangg'. Sonakshi, who used to be overweight, was spotted by Salman at a wedding who told her that she must get in shape and became an actress. And that's just what she did, along the way sweeping all the Best Female Debutant of the Year awards.

Following the massive success of 'Dabangg', Sonakshi has also been signed on for 'Dabangg 2', Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' with Akshay Kumar; and Abbas Mastan's 'Race 2'.

The fact that she is currently hot property in T'town is also evident from her rapidly growing kitty of endorsements. She is the new brand ambassador for Dyna Soaps (once endorsed by Katrina Kaif) and also for Fem.

On January 17, Sonakshi Sinha's brother Luv had tweeted, "A big weekend for the family. A live dance performance day after by ‘someone’. You might not get to see it or you may if it gets‘uploaded’.” Ever since there has been a curiosity about which celebs could we hope to spot at the grand affair. 

To begin with, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended Kussh’s wedding to Taruna Agarwal. The groom’s sister and actress Sonakshi Sinha, who had met Modi along with her parents Shatrughan and Poonam earlier this month, tweeted a photograph and captioned it: “Thank you @narendramodi sir for keeping your promise to me! You made our day truly even more special.”

Among others, Hema Malini, Subhash Ghai, Tina Ambani, Manish Malhotra, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, also attended the wedding ceremony.

There is something very liberating about going on a solo vacation. Can you imagine anything better than chilling on white sand beaches, surrounded by pristine blue waters of the Indian Ocean? This one is definitely on everyone’s bucket list and guess what, our very own Sonakshi Sinha has gone ahead and done it all by herself. However, we can’t help wondering if Sona has tagged anyone along with her on this enviable vacation in the Maldives!

She shared some gorgeous pictures of herself and the fabulous location on Instagram, and she looks like she’s having a ball! While we want to see some more pictures of her, it is two thumbs up to the actress for going on a solo vacation! We suppose it’s a well-deserved break for Sona, who was last known to be shooting three films back to back.

The Dabangg girl is the undisputed winner of the Golden Kela Awards for Worst Acting for her role in Action Jackson.

In their 7th year now, the Golden Kela Awards take a dig at the film industry each year for their tolerance of bad, very bad cinema. Behind this tongue-in-cheek outlook, there is a serious effort to encourage filmmakers to produce more intelligent films.

Crowned as Bollywood’s masala queen for her choice of roles in recent films, is she really the industry’s worst?  We would like to believe otherwise, hopefully the actress will choose better roles in the future that truly allow her to display her histrionic talents! 

Joining the ranks with Sonakshi, are also other A-list recipients like Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Tiger Shroff. 

Though their building Ramayan must be buzzing with Kush Sinha’s wedding preparations, his parents, Shatrughan and Poonam chose not to be too noisy with the functions. So much so that Kush’s sister Sonakshi also refused to divulge any details of her brother’s wedding. But we still managed to get some info!

Kush will apparently marry on January 18 in a private ceremony, followed by a grand reception on January 19.  Bollywood’s top luminaries as well as top politicians are expected to attend the reception. A friend of Sinha family reveals, “Kush is marrying Taruna, who is from his and brother, Luv’s circle of friends. The three of them often hang out together, along with other friends. It was Luv who suggested that Kush propose to Taruna and she immediately said yes! The Sinha family is very fond of Taruna.” We hear that Sonakshi, being the dutiful sister, has taken time off to be part of the celebrations.
