Deepika Padukone, a stunning Bollywood actress and a model is well known for her presence in Bollywood. Her talent made her to rope into the industry, even without any god father. She has established herself as one of the top actress of B-town. She made her acting debut in 2006 Kannada film Aishwarya and later played the lead role in the movie "Om Shanti Om" opposite Shahrukh Khan, which proved a major commercial success and earned her the Filmfare Award for the "Best Female Debut". The diva of the Bollywood Deepika, was born on 5 January, 1986 to Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone in Copenhagen, Denmark. When she was eleven months old they moved to Bangalore, India. She attended Sophia High School and completed her pre-university studies at Mount Carmel College Bangalore. While in high school, she played badminton at the state level. However, she was not keen on pursuing a career as a badminton player. During the time of her film debut she was enrolled with the Indira Gandhi National Open University in Bachelors of Arts (Sociology). At the age of 17, Deepika made her first ramp show. Currently, she is dazzling the industry with her charm and acting skills.

Family
Deepika is the elder daughter of Prakash Padukone, who was a former top world level badminton player and Ujjala Padukone, who is a travel agent. She has a younger sister Anisha, who is a golfer and ranks ninth in the country in the sport. Deepika is the grand-daughter of Ramesh Padukone, who was the Secretary of the Mysore Badminton Association for many years. She played her first official tournaments in the year 1962 and has won the Karnataka state junior championship title.

In Tamasha Movie
Tamasha is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Ali and Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Tamasha will see Ranbir playing an easy-going guy, Ved Sahni, while Deepika will portray the role of a book fanatic, Tara Maheshwari. The film is scheduled to release on 25 December 2015.

In Baji Rao Mastani movie
Deepika Padukone will be playing the other titular role of Mastani in upcoming movie Baji Rao Mastani. Mastani was the daughter of a Hindu Maharaja Chhatrasal of Bundelkhand province and his Persian-Muslim wife Ruhaani Bai who was a court dancer of the Nizam of Hyderabad. For the sword wielding sequence, the dimpled actress is, reportedly, expected to wear a 20 kg armour. The actress is also said to have been taking lessons in sword fighting and martial arts.
