Maybelline New York introduced their revolutionary Baby Lips last month in Pakistan in transparent, red and pink shades. The Maybelline Trend Show 2014 will be staged live at Fashion Pakistan Week 6 Spring/Summer 2014 on February 20 2014.
[Karachi,19 February 2014] The coveted House of Sania Maskatiya announces a collaborative showcase with Maybelline New York [MNY] in celebration of MNY’s 100 years, at Fashion Pakistan Week 2014 on February 20 2014.
To this end Sania Maskatiya reveals “Dancing Dolls”, a capsule collection of five distinct creations. Indeed the Maybelline New York Trend Show draws inspiration from three specific eras within the past 100 years of which Sania Maskatiya’s capsule collection pays homage to trends for the current/futuristic era.
Speaking on her collaboration with Maybelline and the collection her team will be showcasing, Sania Maskatiya has said: “I’m delighted to be working with Maybelline New York and hope that this partnership is the first of many. In celebration of 100 years of evolution of beauty worldwide, my collection lays an emphasis on bold cuts and prints and will attempt to visually portray how beauty and fashion saw a transition through the ages. Expect a riot of colors; juxtaposed with black and white, as is our design houses’ signature style.”
This is Sania Maskatiya’s second collaborative capsule collection in 2014, which marks the brands third anniversary year, and follows their January campaign where the brand introducedscarves designed specifically for retail in partnership with the regions’ leading textile group, Gul Ahmed, in honour and support of Pakistan’s pioneeringanti–blindness NGO, the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust
[Karachi 19th February 2014]: One of Pakistan’s leading textiles brand, Lala Textiles headed by CEO Pervez Lala and Director Lala Textiles Danish Lala, hosted a lunch in association with the Fashion Pakistan Council, to celebrate the start of Fashion Pakistan Week6 at Café Aylanto in Karachi.
In attendance at the lunch was the official stylist for Lala Textiles Shahzad Raza and the brand ambassador for Lala Textiles, the multi-faceted Iman Ali. Making their Fashion Pakistan Week debut this season, Lala Textiles will bring to the runway on February 19th 2014, an eclectic mix of fashion, combining the ethnic and vibrant lawn prints of Lala Textiles with the young pret wear aesthetic of Wardha Saleem, for a more contemporary outlook.
Fashion Pakistan Week 2014, organized by Fashion Pakistan Council and HUM Sitaray, in association with Toni & Guy, TDAP, Bank AlFalah, Nestle Everyday and Nishat Linen took off in a magnificent way. Pakistan’s definitive fashion force, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin celebrates 2014 as his 20th year in fashion, as a couturier, show director, event architect, and choreographer.
In celebration of his second successful decade in fashion, HSY will be announcing a series of expansion, events, collaborations and limited edition collections throughout 2014 which starting with the unveiling of his S/S 2014 pret wear collection titled ‘Venom’ which opened FPW 2014 on February 19 2014. For the collection, HSY infused the timeless elegance of the regional woman of the Sub-continent and Middle East with textures inspired by snakeskin.
Unapologetically glamorous, the collection featured design elements such as chevron lines, historically used to indicate rank or length of service in the military, which HSY had incorporated to signify his 20 years in the fashion industry. HSY will also be announcing the launch of a flagship standalone store in Lahore soon. Later in 2014 and in celebration of his 20 years in fashion, HSY will be revealed a customized limited edition 20 Year design with international brand ToyWatch, a new collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week and further, unveiling an exciting new television project in Pakistan.
In his 20 years of fashion, HSY’s pioneering role has been of significant influence, working to shape the course of the Pakistani fashion industry and to create new professional benchmarks through his fashion design, innovative fashion marketing and promotion, creating space for cross brand synergies and collaborations and crafting new stylistic directions for runway shows and fashion weeks.
Indeed Yasin’s first industry association was through his work as a fashion choreographer in 1994.
